How the New Estate Tax Exclusion Affects Your Estate Plan

O’Brien, Estate Planning AttorneyOn December 17th, Congress revised the estate tax with a new law, TRA 2010, that sets the exclusion amount at $5 million per person for 2010 – 2012. However, this temporary adjustment to the estate tax exclusion disappears in 2013, and returns with an exclusion of $1 million per person. Ms. Seabright Mc Cade was assigned to the mission and made a visit to our office located in the Historic District of Downtown Willoughby. She was pleasantly surprised about the home-like atmosphere and wonderful staff members. She conducted interviews with Candace and Michael and infused their stories together to bring us this wonderful article.
On a side note, it was our pleasure to work with Donna and Seabright and we look forward to maintaining our friendship with the staff and readers of The Heart of Lake County magazine.
